the bustling market town of Keswick,
with its excellent mix of shops, pubs

ITINERARY |
| SUNDAY
We depart our local area and travel to
Keswick arriving in time for a
traditional 2 course Sunday Lunch in the
hotel’s famous restaurant. The remainder
of the afternoon is at leisure to
explore the picturesque town of Keswick.
Enjoy a drink in the hotel’s well
stocked bar, or simply relax in the
comfortable lounges before dinner is
served in the hotel restaurant. |
| MONDAY
After a leisurely breakfast we travel
through the Lake District National Park
and include a morning cruise on Lake
Windermere from Waterhead to Bowness.
After free time in Bowness for lunch we
travel home arriving late afternoon. |

After a leisurely departure we
travel to Newby Hall, one of
Yorkshire’s gems.Newby Hall was
designed by Robert Adams under
the counsel of Sir Christopher
Wren and this beautiful country
house residence of the Compton
family, is an outstanding
testament to the Georgian ‘Age
of Elegance’. The early 1920s
saw Peter Aram create the award
winning gardens,which include
one of the longest herbaceous
double borders in the whole of
Europe. After our included visit
we continue onto the spa town of
Harrogate. |
| SATURDAY A
free day to explore the
attractions of Harrogate. Follow
in the footsteps of the Romans
as you visit the Roman Baths or
try some retail therapy in the
selective boutiques and shops. |
SUNDAY
After breakfast we depart for
our excursion
across the North Yorkshire Moors
to Whitby. The historic town of
Whitby has had a diverse and
influential past.Whitby snugly
straddles the mouth of the river
Esk facing out into the
inimitable North Sea.An eclectic
mix of picturesque fishermen’s
cottages, Georgian town houses,
cobbled streets, nooks and
snickets. |
| MONDAY
Sadly we leave Harrogate and
retrace our steps home with a
visit to the historic town of
Richmond with its Norman castle,
Georgian architecture,
cobbled market place, monuments
and abbeys, the fast flowing
river Swale, and breath taking
scenery, arriving home late
afternoon |
