| THURSDAY After collection from our local area we travel to
NewcastleAirport for check in for our British Airways flight from
Newcastle to Geneva via Heathrow. A member of our staff will be
travelling with you throughout to assist with your flight and
transfer. Flight times (subject to change) are 09.10 depart
Newcastle arriving in Geneva 14.20 (local time).On arrival we meet
our Tynedale tour coach and driver for the transfer to Chamonix
(transfer approx 60 miles). |
| Friday to Tuesday: Whilst in resort

FULL DAY AT LEISURE IN THE
MOUNTAIN RESORT OF CHAMONIX The cobbled attractive
town centre crossing the pretty river Arve provides a
convenient meeting place to relax in the afternoon sunshine,
have coffee or lunch and watch the world go by. The two main
attractions of Chamonix are the Aiguille Du Midi and the Mer
De Glace (Sea of Ice). The Aiguille du Midi offers you a
breath-taking view of Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest peak. The
cable car will take you to 3842 metres in altitude to a
plateau covered in snow and ice all year round. Here you can
eat at Europe’s highest restaurant – whilst toasting the
marvellous scenery. The old cog train at Montenvers Station
will allow you to discover the Mer de Glace and take you
deep in to Chamonix’s ice caves. The relaxing journey offers
a once in a life time panorama of the Chamonix Valley.

ANNECY ‘THE VENICE OF THE ALPS’ One
of the most charming towns in Rhone, Annecy could
justifiably claim to be one of the most picturesque
towns in France. The delightful waterfront is reached
along cobbled streets, pretty canal side paths and
wooden bridges draped in colourful flowers. Enjoy a
cruise on the lake or relax in one of the many
restaurants and cafés in the traffic free old town. |

YVOIRE & GENEVA A superb full day
excursion by coach to the picturesque walled town of
Yvoire, which is situated on the banks of French Lake
Geneva. Once a small fishing villageYvoire is now
internationally renowned for its beauty and floral
displays. Later this afternoon we travel to the Swiss
city of Geneva for free time shopping or relaxing by the
lake. |

A FULL DAY TOUR OF THE NORTHERN FRENCH ALPS
We journey over the Col- Des-Saises to
Beaufort, via Albertville and Moutiers to Bourg St
Maurice into the Verdant region of Beaufort. The return
journey back to Chamonix is over the Little St Bernard
Pass into Italy and through the Mont Blanc tunnel. |

| TUESDAY Sadly we say goodbye to
Chamonix and travel through the French countryside and
onto the capital city of Paris, breaking for lunch on
route.Our base for 2 nights is the 4 star Millennium
Hotel Charles de Gaulle, situated to the north of Paris
offering excellent facilities. 3 course dinner is
included this evening. |
| SUNDAY After a mid morning
departure we travel to the city of York for free time to
explore the cobbled streets and lanes of this
picturesque city. Later this afternoon we continue onto
the port of Hull to join our overnight sailing to
Rotterdam on board North Sea Ferries.Whilst on board all
accommodation is provided in special outside cabins with
two low berth beds (single cabins are inside cabins) and
buffet dinners and breakfasts are included on both our
sailings. Relax and enjoy the ship’s entertainment and
facilities as you cruise to mainland Europe. |
| MONDAY After leaving our ship we
travel to Keukenhof Gardens. The fabulous 80 acre
gardens at Keukenhof are renowned for their dazzling
display of tulips, narcissi, daffodils and hyacinths,
plus indoor pavilions boasting a stunning collection of
rare orchids.After a wonderful visit, this afternoon we
continue our journey to S’Hertogenbosch for check into
the Golden Tulip and dinner. |
| TUESDAY Full day excursion to
Floriade based in Venlo. |
| WEDNESDAY A
wonderful day as we travel the short distance into the
city of Paris.After a short city tour the remainder of
the day is free to enjoy the sights and attractions of
this fabulous city. Later this afternoon we offer the
opportunity of a river cruise on the River Seine and
this evening the opportunity of dinner with included
drinks and entertainment in a local restaurant before
returning to our hotel later this evening. |
| THURSDAY After breakfast we depart
and travel to Calais to join our Eurotunnel crossing to
Folkestone where continue our journey homewith comfort
breaks arriving home late evening. |
