Built in 1906, this historic, luxurious four star hotel has recently undergone a complete renovation. However the Bristol’s architecture remains as striking as it would have been when it was first built. Situated in the centre of Opatija, the location is just one block from the seafront.All the shops, bars, and restaurants can be found within a brief stroll and the coastline is a mere 200m away.
There is a beautiful restaurant, a relaxing bar and wonderful spa and beauty facilities with indoor pool, sauna and steam room.All the elegant 78 air conditioned bedrooms are spacious and contain satellite TV, hairdryer and a telephone
 
ITINERARY
SATURDAY After a mid morning departure we travel to the port of Hull, pausing for lunch on route.We board our North Sea Ferries ship late this afternoon where accommodation is provided in twin bedded special outside cabins (single cabins are inside cabins).
Whilst on board enjoy the ship’s many facilities, and buffet dinners and breakfasts are included on outward and return journeys.
SUNDAY After disembarking our ship we travel into Germany and travel via Koblenz to our overnight hotel where dinner, bed and breakfast is included.
MONDAY After breakfast we continue our journey through Germany, Austria and Slovenia crossing the border into Croatia and to our resort of Opatija. After time to settle in we enjoy a welcome drink and dinner.
Whilst in resort we have included the following excursions:
Full day excursion to Krk – the largest island in theAdriatic Sea which over the centuries has been known as the ‘Golden Island’, Krk the capital
of the island is our first port of call with its medieval moats and 13th century cathedral. Leaving Krk we visit the beautiful little town of Vrbnik and on our return to Opatija we stop for a spot of wine and brandy tasting in a typical wine cellar.
Full day excursion of the Istrian Riviera withlocal guide, travelling along the southern part of the Istrian Peninsula to Pula followed by stops at Rovinj and Porec.Visit the world famous Byzantine basilica in Porec and the magnificent Roman amphitheatre in Pula.
Boat trip exploring the rugged coastline of the Istrian Riviera, with its picturesque fishing villages, sandy coves, inlets and bays.
 
Free day in Opatija, allowing you time to enjoy a relaxing stroll along the promenade or visit the numerous chic shops on the main street. Opatija has many cafes and bars along the water’s edge that make an ideal resting place to stop, where you can have a drink and lunch and immerse yourself in the views of the Riviera.
SATURDAY Sadly we depart Opatija this morning and travel into Slovenia where we break in the picturesque town of Lake Bled for coffee by the lake before continuing our journey into Austria.We travel into the picturesque Lake District to our overnight hotel in Strobl arriving early afternoon.This afternoon we include a visit to the picture postcard town of St Wolfgang before returning to our hotel for dinner after a wonderful day.
SUNDAY After a leisurely breakfast we continue our journey via Salzburg and Munich towards our overnight stay inWiesbaden.This afternoon we break for a late lunch and visit to the old baroque city ofWurzburg, beautifully embedded in the valley of the Main River and surrounded by vine covered hills. This evening a 3 course buffet dinner is included.
MONDAY A wonderful morning as we travel into the Rhine Gorge and join our boat for a morning sail from St Goar to Boppard on the River Rhine, passing picturesque villages, vineyards & castles.After free time for lunch we continue on to the port of Rotterdam for our overnight sailing. Cabins and meals as per outward journey.
TUESDAY After a leisurely breakfast and disembarking from our ship at the port of Hull we travel home with a stop for lunch arriving home mid afternoon after a wonderful tour
