| SUNDAY We
depart our local area and travel
south with comfort breaks on
route arriving in the delightful
town of Warwick early this
afternoon. Explore the many
antique shops, have lunch in the
old square of visit the famous
Castle. Later this afternoon we
travel the short distance to the
Barcelo Walton Hotel our base
for 4 nights. |

Cotswolds travelling via
Evesham and Broadway

delightful stone

enjoy a cream tea

A wonderful full day
as we drive to
Upton-upon-Severn from
where we board a cruise
aboard the MV Conway
Castle, the largest
passenger carrying
vessel on the River
Severn which takes us to
Tewkesbury where there
will be time to visit
the 12th century Abbey
and market. This
afternoon return via
Bourton on the Water, a
picture postcard village
with the River Windrush
running beneath tiny
stone bridges and Stow
on the Wold. |

Full day excursion,
first visiting
Charlecote Park, home of
the Lacey family for
over seven hundred
years.The stonework and
ornate chimneys are the
essence of Tudor England
and it is thought that
Shakespeare was caught
poaching in the grounds
as a child. In the
afternoon we visit the
charming market town of
Alcester with its
picturesque high street
of half timbered
buildings, before
returning to Walton to
allow free time for a
walk in the hotel
gardens. |

THURSDAY After
a leisurely breakfast we travel
into Stratford Upon Avon. Take a
walk along the river, or a boat
trip and enjoy lunch before
sadly it’s time to travel home
arriving early evening. |
