After over 30 years of watching from the terraces, home and away, we delighted to announce that a long term agreement has been signed between TGT and Newcastle United Football Club for the clubs travel arrangements.

In signing with Newcastle United on a long term contract, Tynedale will be responsible for all coaching and travel for NUFC for all its academy sides, reserve team, staff and the first team squad.

Within the next few weeks, delivery of our new team coach is expected. After being built in Germany it will arrive in the UK for final fitment of its many extra’s.  On delivery it will feature luxury seating around tables, SKY TV, digital TV, Wifi internet, and full kitchen and gallery with ovens, microwaves, ice machine, coffee machines and even a play station, and will carry the Newcastle United logo.

 

 

On a typical match day, we travel the previous day to our overnight hotel, the team will often fly to away games and are met by our coach on arrival. On match days we transfer the kit to the stadium first and all is prepared in the dressing room before we transfer the team to the game. If the team are flying home all their meals are prepared by chef’s on board and ready to serve on the transfer to the airport , sometimes only giving us 30 minutes to serve a squad of around 30.

The office of Tynedale Group Travel celebrates this week as news broke that one of its oldest and largest clients has been named a top U.S College for Study Abroad in the U.S. News & World Report 2010 Rankings.
Tynedale has worked with Lee University in Tennessee for over 10 years, providing study tours for the university throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. These study tours cover programmes from 10 days to 3 months and generate around 7 months work a year for the Tynedale travel company.
Tynedale’s managing director Andy Sinclair added, “What started as a small client many years ago has grown into an extension of our office and family. Hundred’s of Lee students have enjoyed staying with host families in the Tyne Valley over the years, and many return as friends and tourists years after graduating from Lee. This is a side of our business that many people do not know exists.” 
We are extremely proud to be associated with such a wonderful progressive institution in the United States. In a country where over 70% of citizens do not have a passport, Lee had the foresight many years ago to make participation in a foreign study programme a requirement before graduation, with 100% participation last year.
Programmes are already being confirmed for 2010 and include the UK, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, France, Hungary, Germany and Spain. Andy Sinclair notes that “working with students from Lee has been a major part of our lives and I’m looking forward to spending another week in the office in Tennessee in October finalising 2010, and enjoying the fall colours in a wonderful part of the world.”

We are delighted to announce that after our first season working together, a new agreement has been signed for TGT to supply team coaches for all of Carlisle United F.C  first team and reserves fixtures for a further two seasons.  Travel will be provided using a 32 seat Van Hool team coach carrying the clubs own number plate C1 UFC, and facilities on board will include SKY TV, full kitchen gallery with ovens, microwave, fridges and drinks.
